Due to seasonal monogamy, we may not get the same pair every year. But we pretend we do. The Mallards arrive early in spring and stay for a couple of months. If ducks arrive this coming spring, it will be the fourth year in a row. They hang out on the house roof until the food arrives. We feed them like royalty: Armstrong Wild Bird Food Cut Corn, and Kalmbach duck and goose feed (pellets). We also feed dry dog food to a family of 5 crows. Show more 3 months ago

SR Vegas Very different here !..out west we get road runners, wiley coyotoes, gambels quail, mocking birds, hawks, boat tailed grackles, mourning doves, rock...Very different here !..out west we get road runners, wiley coyotoes, gambels quail, mocking birds, hawks, boat tailed grackles, mourning doves, rock pigeons and Round-tailed Ground Squirrels ..the cutest things popping up from their tunnels behind our home. . .I set out fresh water and they come up on the patio, or under the Mesquite tree just past the patio. Plenty of shade for them to hang out under. There is Canada Geese on the golf course seasonally, around the lakes or fairways (they make great landing zones ..lol !) Show more 3 months ago
