2020 REMINGTON PARK THOROENDURO

Summer-Fall Season Online Handicapping Contest
Friday, Sept. 11 through Sunday, Dec. 20, 2020

Remington Park offers visitors to ThoroEnduro.com the chance to participate in The Remington Park ThoroEnduro (THOROENDURO) contest during the 2020 Thoroughbred Season at Remington Park.

THOROENDURO is a FREE online contest that will begin with the Remington Park racing on Friday, Sept. 11, 2020. Participants are required to register and provide a working email address as well as a residential address and contact phone number. Once doing so, they can log on to THOROENDURO and select one entry in each of at least three game races selected by the THOROENDURO administrator. Past performances for each challenge race are available on the game page, courtesy of Brisnet.com. Participants are credited with a "virtual" $2 win, $2 place and $2 show wager on each of their selections. The total pari-mutuel payouts according to Remington Park official race results will be accrued to the participant's "virtual" bankroll.

EXAMPLE: if your selection in THOROENDURO RACE 1 finishes 2nd, paying $5.60 to place and $3.10 to show, your selection in THOROENDURO RACE 2 does not finish first, second, or third (off the board), your selection in THOROENDURO RACE 3 finishes 3rd and pays $3.20 to show, your “virtual” bankroll will be credited or increased by $11.90 ($5.60, $3.10 and $3.20).

Please note, on the following days more than three contest races will be used for THOROENDURO: Friday, September 25, 2020 (Oklahoma-bred Turf Stakes Night); Sunday, September 27, 2020 (Oklahoma Derby Day); Friday, October 16, 2020 (Oklahoma Classics Night); Friday, November 13, 2020 (Oklahoma-bred Future Stars Night) and Sunday, December 20, 2020 (Springboard Mile Day). All of these dates will feature multiple stakes races at Remington Park with many possibly used as contest races for THOROENDURO.

Participants can remain eligible in THOROENDURO by having at least one of their selections run in 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th in their respective race. However, they will get no "virtual bankroll” credit for a 4th-place finisher. Only selections that finish in 1st, 2nd or 3rd position will receive "virtual bankroll” credit based on the official pari-mutuel payoffs for that respective race. Please note: There is no maximum cap placed on the win, place and show payoffs.

Contestants playing THOROENDURO will have one ‘Life’ before getting knocked out of the game for any length of time, or permanently. Contestants can gain additional “Lives” by acquiring The LUCKY HORSESHOE which acts as a free pass that allows players to survive in THOROENDURO if they do not enter selections for a race day or if all of their race selections fail to finish in the top four positions of their respective race. The LUCKY HORSESHOE is an additional ‘life’ utilized to stay in the THOROENDURO.

THOROENDURO contestants that lose all of their eligibility (regular life and any Lucky Horseshoes) may be forced to sit out a few days of THOROENDURO, being placed “In the Barn.” As each new racing week begins at Remington Park (normally on Wednesdays) all contestants that had to sit ‘In the Barn’ due to losing eligibility, will be let back in to play THOROENDURO. The final get back in THOROENDURO Wednesday will be on November 11, 2020. After that date, if a contestant loses all of their eligibility status (regular life and any Lucky Horseshoes) they will be completely eliminated from THOROENDURO and consideration for prizes.

All players who are signed in to play THOROENDURO before the first contest night of Friday, Sept. 11, will have one (1) Lucky Horseshoe on their account. All eligible contestants will receive additional Lucky Horseshoes on Wednesday, September 23, 2020; Wednesday, October 14, 2020 and Wednesday, November 11, 2020.

Since all players are out of the barn and back in THOROENDURO at the start of every new racing week at Remington Park, no players will lose eligibility on any Saturdays prior to November 11, 2020. Essentially, all Saturdays prior to November 11 are “free-play” dates, where contestants will not lose a Lucky Horseshoe or any “life” eligibility. The lone exception is the week of the Oklahoma Derby, when the racing week ends on Sunday, Sept. 27. That week, Sunday, Sept. 27 will serve as the free-play day.

Participants do not have to make a selection in all three races. In the event of a late scratch of a participant's selection, the participant's selection is automatically transferred to the post-time (off-time) favorite for the respective race.

REGISTRATION

Participants who register for THOROENDURO in the timeframe leading up to the beginning of the game on Friday, September 11, 2020 will begin THOROENDURO with ONE LUCKY HORSESHOE in addition to their regular player ‘Life.’

Contestants can continue to register for THOROENDURO after the beginning of the game on Friday, September 11, 2020. However, they will not receive a LUCKY HORSESHOE to begin their play. Instead they will have only one ‘Life’ while they compete and will be forced to wait for the new additional LUCKY HORSESHOES to be awarded at a later date.

The Registration to play THOROENDURO in 2020 will close at 6:30pm-Central, before the first Remington Park race on Wednesday, November 11, 2020.

SURVIVING TO WIN PRIZES

Players must “survive” THOROENDURO through the end of the 2020 Thoroughbred Season at Remington Park (Sunday, December 20, 2020) in order to be eligible for prize consideration. Check thoroenduro.com for complete updated standings.

THOROENDURO begins Friday, September 11, 2020 and concludes when the last Remington Park live race is official on Sunday, December 20, 2020. THOROENDURO scoring is based on pari-mutuel information as supplied by the official Equibase Charts for Remington Park racing. Your race selections must be made no less than thirty (30) minutes prior to the start of the first race of a respective Remington Park racing program. REMEMBER, YOU CAN CHANGE YOUR SELECTIONS AT ANY TIME PRIOR TO THIRTY (30) MINUTES TO FIRST POST.

In the event of a tie for the highest accumulated “virtual” pari-mutuel total (bankroll), the player selecting the Most Winners throughout the contest will be declared the Grand Prize Winner. If there is still a tie for highest accumulated “virtual” bankroll after utilizing the tiebreaker, the contestants that are tied will split the prizes they are eligible to receive. For example if there is a tie for 1st Place with two contestants that cannot be separated using the tie-breaker, then those two contestants will split the combined 1st-place and 2nd-place prizes, evenly. This process will be used to decide all finishers eligible for prizes if need be.

Winners will be notified by email.

PRIZES

THOROENDURO for the 2020 Thoroughbred Season at Remington Park will offer the following cash prizes, distributed to the top finishers, based on highest accumulated ‘virtual bankroll.’ The cash prizes will be awarded to eligible contestants as follows: 1st Place/Grand Prize=$4,000; 2nd Place=$800; 3rd Place=$700; 4th Place=$600; 5th Place=$500; 6th Place=$400; 7th Place=$300; 8th Place=$200 and 9th Place=$100.

The THOROENDURO contestant who compiles the Most Winners via their contest-race selections will receive a $1,000 prize. In the event more than one contestant shares the highest amount of Most Winners, then the tie-breaker for this prize will go to the contestant with the highest accumulated “virtual” bankroll. If still tied after that, the $1,000 will be split evenly among those tied for Most Winners selected.

It is a possibility that a contestant can receive both a ‘virtual bankroll’ cash-prize and the prize for correctly selecting the Most Winners.

All Cash Prizes will be made in US Dollars.
