ALLAIRE WINS THOROENDURO AT REMINGTON PARK, SECURING A SEAT TO THE NATIONAL HORSEPLAYERS CHAMPIONSHIP

OKLAHOMA CITY – When Express Kid won the $300,000 Springboard Mile on Saturday, Dec. 20, the 2025 Remington Park season came to a close, along with the annual ThoroEnduro challenge. When the Springboard was official, Brett Allaire had secured the Grand Prize for his handicapping selections throughout ThoroEnduro.

A resident of Massachusetts, Allaire earned a valued seat to the 2026 National Horseplayers Championship in Las Vegas, to be contested in March. The NHC seat goes to the highest finisher in ThoroEnduro who is also an NHC Tour member, which is a requirement to compete in the event. The NHC is the top contest for horseplayers in North America, carrying a pool of awards and prizes in excess of $4 Million.

Allaire ended the ThoroEnduro with a score of 1,243.70. He finished 67.20 ahead of Robert Seifert of Minnesota. Seifert pulled down $1,250 for his runner-up prize. Nearly 1,900 contestants played ThoroEnduro this season. The free ThoroEnduro challenge has been conducted since 2012.

ThoroEnduro is scored by taking the win, place and show payoffs of the horses finishing first, second and third in the actual Remington Park races that are used in the contest, with contestants accumulating those mythical totals for a score throughout the contest. This year’s ThoroEnduro ran from Sept. 11 through Dec. 20.

Others finishing high enough in ThoroEnduro to receive cash prizes included John Curran, Kevin Titus, Maria Godart and Albert Decresenzo. Stephen Moore picked the most winners in ThoroEnduro and received a $1,000 bonus prize for those efforts.

Godart, of British Columbia, and Moore from Montana, were the first from their respective province and state to win a prize in ThoroEnduro. Overall, contestants winning prizes in ThoroEnduro have resided in 32 different states and three different provinces.

Remington Park has provided more than $402 Million to the State of Oklahoma general education fund since the opening of the casino in 2005. Located at the junction of Interstates 35 & 44, in the heart of the Oklahoma City Adventure District, Remington Park presents year-round simulcast racing and casino gaming. Guests must be 18 or older to wager on horse racing or to enter the casino gaming floor. Visit remingtonpark.com for more information.
